Education and Finance Structure of Magnet and Charter Schools

Magnet and charter school models are the two different education models used in public schools in USA. There are magnet and charter school at the elementary, middle and high school levels. Though these models are different in terms of their goals and structures they both try to eliminate the low educational standarts of the government schools, bureaucracy and the injustice resulting from economic reasons. This article focuses on the application of these two models and tries to compare them with each other to investigate the possibility of applicability in the Turkish education system along the reform efforts.
