The Effects of Information Delivery Type on Student Achievement in Science Education

The purpose of this study is to assess the effects of information delivery type (i.e. conventional, visual, audio-visual, and multi-sensory) on summative achievement levels of students studying science in an elementary school. In this respect, the subjects of spaca and sky were determined to be taught. 92 students were divided four homogeneous groups in this empirical study. There are eleven hypothesis in the study. The results show that using different types of materials in instruction affect students’ achievement positively. Also, subject matter characteristics is important as well as information delivery types.
