Since the early ages, mentoring has played a key role in effective supervision and in the modern world it serves as the basis of contemporary supervision. The goal of this study is to find ouı to vvhat extend mentoring is important for the supervisors and to what extend they practice it in their fıelds. As a result of the related literatüre review and unstructed interviews conducıed both with three supervisors and ten teachers, a draft questionnaire was prepared. The questionanire has been revised and given its final shape based on the feeedback received from the experts involved. 39 primary school supervisors who fınished the undergraduate course at Marmara University, Faculty of Education, constitute the scope of this study. After having stastistical analysis fındings were documented and some reccomendations were reached.
