Dijital sağlık teknolojilerinde yaşanan gelişmeler, evde sağlık hizmet sunumunun yapısında çeşitli değişimlere yol açmıştır. Yapay zekâ, büyük veri, bulut bilişim ve giyilebilir sensörlerin sağlık sistemlerine entegrasyonun sağlanması, sağlık bakım hizmetlerini hastane merkezli olmaktan çıkararak bireylerin yaşam alanlarına taşınmasına katkı sunmuş ve sunmaya devam etmektedir. Uzaktan hasta izleme, tele-konsültasyon ve mobil sağlık uygulamaları gibi çalışmalar; evde bakım hizmetlerinin sunumu, kronik hastalık yönetimi, rehabilitasyon hizmetleri ve yaşlı bakım hizmetlerine yönelik çalışmalara önemli derecede katkı sunmaktadır. Dünya genelinde European Health Data Space Regulation (EHDS) ve Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) gibi çalışmaların dijital sağlık uygulamalarının sürdürülebilirliğini desteklediği ifade edilebilir.

The Role of Technology in Home Healthcare Services Tele-Health

Yıl 2025, Cilt: 5 Sayı: 3, 97 - 105, 29.12.2025

Advances in digital health technologies have led to various changes in the structure of home healthcare services. The integration of artificial intelligence, big data, cloud computing, and wearable sensors into healthcare systems has contributed to, and continues to contribute to, moving healthcare services from hospital-centric to the living spaces of individuals. Efforts such as remote patient monitoring, teleconsultation, and mobile health applications significantly contribute to the delivery of home care services, chronic disease management, rehabilitation services, and elder care. Globally, efforts such as the European Health Data Space Regulation (EHDS) and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) can be said to support the sustainability of digital health applications. In Turkey, with the introduction of the Digital Transformation Strategy in Health (2023–2027) and the Regulation on the Provision of Remote Health Services, telehealth applications have begun to become widespread at the national level. World Health Organization data indicates that the introduction of digital health services increases access to healthcare by 35% and reduces costs by 20%. As a result, the use of digital technologies in the provision of home health services or the integration of these systems can be considered an important element in the sustainable and accessible execution of these services.
