The purpose of the research is to analyse the
differences between the life satisfactions of first and fourth grade university
students and factors that affecting their life satisfactions. The studied group
consists of 90 first-year students and 67 fourth-year students. The research
has descriptive model and it is a cross-sectional study. The datas were
collected by ‘‘Student Information Form‘‘ and “Satisfaction with Life Scale’’.
In analysis of the datas; average, number, percentage, etc. were used in the
descriptive statistics and it has benefited from T Test, Mann Whitney U Test
and Chi Square Test in other the analyzes. The SWLS (Satisfaction with Life
Scale) average score of the students was found as 22,27 ± 6,22 in the first
classes and 21,14 ± 6,5 in the fourth class students and it was determined that
differences were not meaningful in statistical analysis between the two
averages. ( t=1.093 p>0.05). According to the parents’ attitudes of the
students who continue to first class, students who defined as ‘have democratic
attitudes’ have been seen to be obtain more higher averages when looking to the
SWLS score averages (p<0,05). According to the SWLS average scores of first

ÜNİVERSİTE 1. VE 4. SINIFA DEVAM EDEN ÖĞRENCİLERİN YAŞAM DOYUMLARININ İNCELENMESİ

Yıl 2017, Cilt: 6 Sayı: 2, 210 - 223, 01.09.2017

Öz

Araştırmanın amacı, üniversite birinci ve dördüncü
sınıf öğrencilerinin yaşam doyumları arasındaki farklılığı ve yaşam doyumlarına
etki eden faktörleri incelemektir. Çalışma grubunu; 90 birinci sınıf öğrencisi
ve 67 dördüncü sınıf öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma, betimleyici desende
olup kesitsel bir araştırmadır. Veriler, “Öğrenci Bilgi Formu” ve “Yaşam Doyumu
Ölçeği (YDÖ)” ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde tanımlayıcı
istatistiklerde; ortalama, sayı, yüzde vb. ve diğer analizlerde t testi, Mann
Whitney U Testi ve Ki kare Testi kullanılmıştır. Öğrencilerin YDÖ puan
ortalaması 1. Sınıflarda 22,27±6,22, 4. Sınıflarda 21,14±6,5 olarak bulunmuştur
ve istatistiksel analizde iki ortalama arasındaki farkın anlamlı olmadığı belirlenmiştir
( t=1.093 p>0.05). 1.
