Psychological verbs have a different status among other verb classes. They behave differently with respect to regular mapping between the syntactic positions and semantic roles. This study will focus on the classification of psych verbs with an elaboration of the proposals in İbe (2004). Particularly, the paper will discuss theta roles properties, the case marking of the arguments of the psych verbs and their surface structure representations in Turkish and interaction between the semantic interpretation and negation some cases. It will also exemplify some of these verbs that have both psych and non-psych senses.
