DIFFERENCES BETWEEN FEMALE AND MALE ENTREPRENEURS

Abstract

Entrepreneurial activity has been rising continuously in recent years. Whether female or male, it is required to have some particular qualities to be an entrepreneur. However, in addition to the common attributes, female and male entrepreneurs still reflect observable differences in many ways. In this study, the detected differences based on literature are indicated without a categorical distinction. Knowing differences is an important element in approaching women’s entrepreneurship.

Öz

Girişimci etkinlik son yıllarda sürekli artmaktadır. İster kadın ister erkek olsun girişimci olmak için belli bazı niteliklere sahip olmak gerekmektedir. Ancak, ortak niteliklerinin yanında, kadın ve erkek girişimciler yine birçok açıdan gözlemlenebilir farklılıklar da yansıtmaktadır. Bu çalışmada literatüre dayalı tespit edilen farklılıklar kategorik bir ayrım yapmadan belirtilmiştir.

Farklılıkları bilmek kadın girişimciliğine yaklaşım açısından önemli bir unsurdur.
