THE IMPORTANCE OF VISUAL COMMUNICATION DESIGN PRODUCTS FOR MUSEUM EDUCATION, INFORMATION AND PROMOTION

Abstract

Communication is one of the requirements that corporations, companies and people can not give up. This requirement is addressed through the use of different communication products. One of the most influential those is the visual communication design process: In daily life, posters, infographics, labels, orientation design, etc. Products and mobile phone applications (symbols) and internet interface designs are involved in communication design products.The museums that house the cultural products of a society or country have functions that collect, collect, protect, repair, inform, introduce, educate and entertain the bridge between the past and the future. The museums use very different methods, techniques and processes to communicate with people in order to be able to fulfill the educational function. It is said that one of these is the products of visual communication design. This research aims to show how the museum can contribute to the sustainability of museum education, its current and future significance of the visual communication design products that it uses for educational, informational and promotional purposes. The research was carried out using literature review and observation techniques, one of the qualitative methods. According to the findings, it is understood that the museum has a positive contribution to learning when it is used as an educational environment or as an educational environment. Although it is a museum benefiting from the visual communication design products that contribute education in both Turkey and the World, it can be said that most museums do not have these possibilities and that some of them are adequately informed, It is understood that they do not have a staff. In addition, it has been determined that visual communication design products have a significant contribution to museum education, informing and promotion. According to these results, staff should be employed in the museums to implement museum education. Museum should be able to benefit from visual communication design products and related technologies. In the Departments of Graphic, Graphic Design and Visual Communication Design, courses which are focused on museum education, information and promotion should be opened
