TRAININGS FOR THE DISADVANTAGED GROUPS IN MUSEUMS

Abstract

Museums today, take advantage of the opportunities presented by modern education methods for communicating with the public. Museums carry out their duties of scientific transfer and social education through their visitors. This article about the museums education very important for accessibility and disabilities visitors. Museums offer equal opportunities to all kinds of visitors in terms of social responsibility. Vision impaired, blind, hearing impaired, mentally impaired, elderly, physically disabled visitors, visiting young children, pregnant women, visitors with language problems and immigrants are among the disadvantaged groups.Today, museums actively engage in efforts to attract disadvantaged groups to museums, within the scope of their social responsibility efforts. Priority has to be given to the participation of these groups to museum education and the events that are organized in the museum administration policies. People in these groups, who have to be specially protected, are groups that require social protection as a state responsibility. Educational activities that target disadvantaged visitors are increasing in number and variety, in order to make museums more accessible and usable. Recently, museums have implemented applications that combine education, training and fun that allow disadvantaged visitors to live various experiences. The active participation of these disadvantaged visitors to the activities in the museum, along with other visitors, and their social interactions are also important in terms of interactive museum education. The requirements of disadvantaged groups have to be especially considered in the planning of museum education activities
