EXAMINING THE OPINIONS OF EDUCATIONAL ADMINISTRATORS AND TEACHERS WHO WORK IN VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOLS FOR GIRLS IN TERMS OF VARIOUS VARIABLES

Abstract

With this study, it is aimed to get the ideas of school administrators, teachers and trainers about the problems of vocational high schools for girls and determine the existence or absence of meaningful differences related to institution of employment, role, educational status and duration of employment and bring forward proposals for the existing problems. The universe of the study is comprised of the administrators, teachers and trainers of public vocational high schools for girls which are situated in Avcılar, Eyüp, Fatih and Gaziosmanpaşa districts of İstanbul in 2014 – 2015 academic year. Sample is comprised of 240 people who are working in the institutions of the universe and selected with non-probabilistically intentional sampling method. The data to be used in the study is gathered using five point Likert scale consisting of two parts and 55 items which is developed by Aslantürk. Internal reliability coefficient is Cronbach Alpha α = 0,933. At the end of the study, in the light of the gathered data, solutions are offered for the experienced problems
