A RESEARCH ABOUT THE EXAMINATION OF ORGANIZATIONAL SOCIALIZATION OF GROUP PRESIDENTS AT MINISTRY OF NATIONAL EDUCATION

Abstract

Explanatory mixed research method is used in this study which is to examine organizational socialization of group presidents at Ministry of National Education. In mixed research method, a questionnaire is given to 31 group presidents and semi-structured question set is given to 3 group presidents simultaneously. At the end of the research, it is seen that group presidents’ organizational socialization level is low, their organizational solidarity level is medium and their work satisfaction level is also medium. It is also seen that the communication level among the group presidents is high. The meaningful difference among the group presidents’ views according to their sexes is analysed with Mann-Whitney U test and it is seen there is no meaningful difference. Besides this, the meaningful difference among the group presidents’ views according to their ages, career years and educational levels is analysed with Kruskal-Wallis and according to these variables, there is no meaningful difference among their views.In the qualitative analyse, context analysis is used. It is seen that three group presidents give the similar answers to the questions and the best answers are taken. In organizational solidarity, organizational values aren’t understood exactly by the group presidents but it is seen that the organizational aim is to give qualitative education and this aim covers the aim of group presidents. In organizational resignation, rules and regulations should be flexible. Besides this, it is said that because of bureaucratic structure, the human relations are very weak. In work satisfaction, it is mentioned that participation to the decision mechanisms are not properly working and human and social relations are very weak and award-punishment system is not well-built. It is also said about physical situations, Beşevler Campus of Ministry of National Education gives opportunities such as walking, refreshing etc. to the workers but the Central Campus of Ministry of National Education is insufficient to give these opportunities
