Abstract
The aim of this study is to adapt The Virtual Museum Virtual Tour Satisfaction Scale, developed in North Texas University by D’Alba (2012) to determine the satisfaction level for a virtual tour, to Turkish language and culture. The original scale is in English and includes two factors and 21 items. At the beginning of the research process, the original scale was translated into Turkish, and experts’ critics were obtained. Afterwards, both the English and Turkish forms were administered to students (n=69) of Başkent University English Language School English Preparatory Departmentin a two week interval in order to determine the equivalency of these two forms. The construct validity studies were carried out on 219 11th. grade Işıklar Air Force High School students. Linguistic equivalence study was performed using data obtained from the US Air Force at the National Aviation Museum, while the study for validity and reliability (cultural adaptation) was performed using data obtained from the Turkish Air Force Museum. According to the study results the Turkish version has two subordinate factors parallel to the original scale and consists of 19 items. One of the items having comorbid factors, another having irrelevant values and of being of higher error variance were removed from the scale for the given reasons. The Cronbach Alpha internal consistency coefficient was calculated as 910
