THE CONCEPTUAL ANALYSIS OF SOME SOCIAL
CHANGES AFFECTING EDUCATION AND SCHOOL
Abstract
Information, technology and especially sudden progress in communications
affected social structure of society. The schools which are leading instituion
of open, social and loosely structured of society, has been affected significantly
in this social structure. Also in this study is handled the changes of social
structure and the reflections of these social changes to education, reached a
synthesis by other researches, opinions on the subject and tried to specify the
relationships among them. Especially, with globalization -in this century of social
transformation- has been mentioned to social changes and their affects and
new needs and expectations which came out after those social changes. At the
same time it has been indicated that it is necessary to change traditional hypothesis
based on the school’s structure and operation.
At the first part of the study, the concepts of education and the school
has been explained, at the second part of the study social changes and subheadings
of these social changes has been examined, in the last part reflection of
social changes to schools has been mentioned

EĞİTİMİ VE OKULU ETKİLEYEN BAZI SOSYAL DEĞİŞİMLERİN KAVRAMSAL ÇÖZÜMLEMESİ
Öz
Bilgi, teknoloji ve özellikle iletişimde yaşanan ani gelişmeler toplumun
sosyal yapısını etkilemektedir. Açık, sosyal ve gevşek yapılı sistem olan toplumun
öncü kurumu olan okullar, bu sosyal yapı içinde önemli derecede etkilenmektedir.
Bu çalışmada da sosyal yapıdaki değişimler ve bu sosyal değişimlerin
eğitime olan yansımaları incelenmiş, farklı araştırmalardan, konuyla ilgili
görüşlerden bir senteze ulaşılmış ve bunlar arasındaki ilişkiler belirtilmeye
çalışılmıştır. Özellikle, küreselleşmeyle birlikte- bu sosyal dönüşüm yüzyılındaki-
sosyal değişimler ve etkileri bu bağlamda, bu değişimler sonucu ortaya çıkan
yeni ihtiyaç ve beklentilere değinilmiştir. Bununla birlikte, okulların içinde
bulunduğu toplumun yapısındaki büyük değişimler göz önünde bulundurularak,
okulların yapı ve işleyişine temel olan geleneksel varsayımların da
değişmesi gerektiği belirtilmiştir.
Çalışmanın ilk bölümünde eğitim ve okul kavramları açıklanmış olup,
ikinci bölümde sosyal değişimler ve bu sosyal değişimlere ait alt başlıklar incelenmiş
ve son bölümde ise sosyal, toplumsal değişimlerin okullara yansımasına
değinilmiştir.
