SATISFACTION LEVELS OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to define the satisfaction levels of the high
school students and whether there is difference between the satisfaction levels
according to some variables. The population of this survey consists of the students
in 44 state and 6 private high schools in the centre ( Konyaaltı, Kepez,
Muratpaşa) of Antalya in 2007-2008 educational years. The data were gathered
from 550 students (343 female and 207 male students) of 9th, 10th, 11th and final
grade. In this study a five point Likert Scale “Student Satisfaction” questionnaire
developed by the researchers was used. The Cronbach’s Alpha value of
the questionnaire ( consists of 42 questions) is .96. The data were analyzed by
means, standard deviation, t test and one-way Anova and Scheffe. The analyses
of the group comparisons were based on .05 Alpha level. The results of this
study show that there are significant differences between the satisfaction levels
of students according to the schools as state and private, the number of students
in schools, class levels, the number of students in classes, social and sports activities
in schools.
