SATISFACTION LEVELS OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to define the satisfaction levels of the high school students and whether there is difference between the satisfaction levels according to some variables. The population of this survey consists of the students in 44 state and 6 private high schools in the centre ( Konyaaltı, Kepez, Muratpaşa) of Antalya in 2007-2008 educational years. The data were gathered from 550 students (343 female and 207 male students) of 9th, 10th, 11th and final grade. In this study a five point Likert Scale “Student Satisfaction” questionnaire developed by the researchers was used. The Cronbach’s Alpha value of the questionnaire ( consists of 42 questions) is .96. The data were analyzed by means, standard deviation, t test and one-way Anova and Scheffe. The analyses of the group comparisons were based on .05 Alpha level. The results of this study show that there are significant differences between the satisfaction levels of students according to the schools as state and private, the number of students in schools, class levels, the number of students in classes, social and sports activities in schools.

ORTAÖĞRETİM KURUMLARINDA ÖĞRENİM GÖREN ÖĞRENCİLERİN OKULDAN MEMNUNİYET DÜZEYLERİ

Öz

Bu araştırmanın amacı, ortaöğretim kurumlarındaki öğrencilerin okuldan sağladıkları memnuniyet düzeylerini ve memnuniyet düzeylerinin bazıdeğişkenlere göre farklılık gösterip göstermediğini tespit etmektir. Taramamodelinde yapılan bu Araştırmanın evrenini, 2007-2008 Eğitim-Öğretim yılındaAntalya ili Metropol alanı (Konyaaltı, Kepez ve Muratpaşa ilçeleri) içerisindebulunan 44 resmî, 6 özel ortaöğretim okulunda öğrenim gören öğrenciler oluşturmaktadır. 9., 10., 11. ve hazırlık okumuş son sınıf düzeyindeki 343’ü kız,207’si erkek olmak üzere toplam 550 öğrenci araştırmanın örneklemini oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen 5li likert tipi derecelendirme ölçeği olarak hazırlanmış “Öğrenci Memnuniyeti Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. 42 maddeden oluşan Ölçeğin güvenirlik katsayısı Cronbach Alpha .96dır. Verilerin analizinde aritmetik ortalama, standart sapma, t testi, Anova veScheffe testi kullanılmıştır. Gruplar arası karşılaştırmalarda Alpha = 0.05anlamlılık düzeyi esas alınmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, ortaöğretim öğrencilerinin memnuniyet düzeyleri arasında; öğrencilerin, öğrenim gördükleri okulların resmî veya özel olmasına, okullarının mevcutlarına, sınıf mevcutlarına, sınıfdüzeylerine ve okullarının sahip oldukları sosyal ve sportif imkânların düzeyine göre anlamlı farklılıklar bulunmuştur
