The phenology of Tipulidae (Diptera) species in the southwestern Anatolia Region

In this study, the phenology of Tipulidae species (Diptera) was investigated in southwest Anatolia Region. The field surveys carry out in the southwestern Anatolia Region, consist of provinces of Antalya, Aydın, Burdur, Denizli, Isparta, and Muğla, between March and October of between 2002 and 2006 and 63 Tipulidae taxa were determined from the research area. Each month that field surveys were carried out were divided into four weeks. The flying times of Tipulidae species in the region were tried to determine in terms of marking the week that corresponds to the sampling date. Adults of identified species were found in almost every month from March to October in the research field. On the other hand, it was determined that the maximum taxa number flies in May (53) while the minimum taxa number flies in August (7). In the other months, the number of taxa ranged from 9-38. While the samples of three taxa fly all the months in the region, it was determined that the phenology for adults of eleven taxa were limited to a month. Finally the phenology of the most species mainly occurred during April, May and June.

Güneybatı Anadolu Bölgesi Tipulidae (Diptera) Türlerinin Fenolojisi

Bu çalışmada, Güneybatı Anadolu Bölgesinden bilinen Tipulidae (Diptera) türlerinin bölgedeki uçuş zamanları incelenmiştir. Araştırma alanında yer alan Antalya, Aydın, Burdur, Denizli, Isparta ve Muğla il sınırları içerisinde 2002 – 2006 yılları ve her yılın Mart – Ekim ayları arasında arazi çalışmaları gerçekleştirilmiş ve toplam 63 tipulid taksonu belirlenmiştir. Arazi çalışmalarının yapıldığı her bir ay 4 haftaya ayrılmıştır. Örneklerin toplandığı tarihin denk geldiği hafta işaretlenerek tipulid türlerinin uçuş zamanları belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Ergin tipulid örneklerine Mart’tan Ekim’e kadar hemen hemen her ayda rastlanılmıştır. Bununla birlikte en fazla taksonun Mayıs ayında (53), en az ise Ağustos (7) ayında uçtuğu belirlenmiştir. Diğer aylarda 9-38 arasında değişen sayılarda tipulid taksonuna rastlanılmıştır. Üç taksona ait örnekler bütün aylarda bölgede uçarken, 11 taksonun erginlerinin uçuş zamanının bir ayla sınırlı olduğu belirlenmiştir. Bu sonuçlara göre türlerin büyük bir kısmının uçuş zamanları Nisan, Mayıs ve Haziran aylarına rastlamaktadır
