Microseismic Monitoring Methods
Öz
Microseismic monitoring methods have become an important tool used in determining of deformation limits and sizes of a medium under applied stresses in earth, structure and material sciences. Today, this method having many different purposes and fields of use has borrowed a number of analysis techniques from seismology. Only difference from seismology is that it uses man-made induced seismic events as source instead of earthquake. For each possible field of elastic wave propagation with effect of a force these methods may be used for monitoring the process. There are many application areas of this method both in Earth Sciences, such as petroleum and natural gas, geothermal, mining and underground storage areas, and also in Construction and Materials Sciences, such as surface and underground engineering structures, transport vehicles, storage media, and the laboratory test materials. In terms of the results obtained, simplicity in the application, to be economic, and providing different information about region are its most important advantages
