Kırsal Bölgede Yaşayan Hipertansiyonlu Bireylerin Öz Etkililik ve İlaç Uyumu

Öz

Amaç: Hipertansiyonda öz etkililik ve ilaç uyumu hastalık yönetiminin temel bileşenleridir. Bu çalışmanın amacı kırsalda yaşayan hipertansiyonlu hastalarda öz etkililik ve ilaç uyum durumlarının değerlendirilmesi ve etki eden faktörlerin belirlenmesidir. Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı kesitsel nitelikte olan bu çalışma Ekim-Aralık 2023 tarihleri arasında Denizli ilinde kırsal bölgedeki bir aile sağlığı merkezine başvuran 18 yaş üzeri, hipertansiyon tanısı almış hastalarda yapıldı. Verilerin toplanmasında sosyodemografik özellikler, öz bakımı değerlendirmek için hipertansiyon öz etkililik ölçeği ve ilaç uyumunu değerlendirmek için hipertansif hastalarda ilaca uyum öz etkililik ölçeği kullanıldı. Bulgular: Çalışmaya 199 hasta dahil edildi. Katılanların yaş ortalaması 65,36 ± 12,04 olarak tespit edildi. Kadın oranı %64,3 ve evli oranı %70,9’dur. Hipertansiyon hastalarının hipertansiyon öz-etkililik puan ortalaması 49,01 ± 5,73, hipertansif hastalarda ilaca uyum öz-etkililik ölçeği puanın ortalaması 37,64 ± 8,28 olarak tespit edildi ve hipertansiyon öz etkililik ölçeği ile hipertansif hastalarda ilaca uyum öz etkililik ölçeği arasında pozitif yönde orta düzeyde bir ilişki bulundu (r=0,344; p=0,0001). Ayrıca obez hastalarda, kan basıncı takibi yaptırmayan, ölçüm kan basıncı değeri yüksek olan ve sigara kullanan hipertansiyon hastalarında öz etkililik puanı istatistiksel olarak daha düşük bulundu (p<0,05). Sonuç: Çalışmada hipertansiyon hastalarında öz etkililik ve ilaç uyumu ilişkiliydi. Obez hastalarda, kan basıncı takibi yaptırmayan, kan basıncı ölçüm değeri yüksek olan ve sigara kullanan hipertansiyon hastalarında öz etkililik puanı daha düşük bulundu. Hipertansiyon yönetiminde bu faktörlerin de göz önünde bulundurulması gerekmektedir.

Self-Efficacy and Medication Adherence of Individuals with Hypertension Living in Rural Areas

Öz

Aim: Self-care and medication compliance are essential components of disease management in hypertension. The aim of this study was to evaluate self-efficacy and medication adherence in hypertensive patients living in rural areas and to determine the influencing factors. Method: This descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted on patient diagnosed with hypertension over the age of 18 who applied to a family health center in a rural area of Denizli province between October and December 2023. Sociodemographic characteristics, Hypertension Self-Efficacy Scale and medication adherence self-efficacy scale in hypertensive patients were used to collect data. Results: A total of 199 patients were included in the study. The mean age of the participants was determined as 65.36 ± 12.04. The female rate is 64.3% and the married rate is 70.9%. The mean score of Hypertension Self-Efficacy Scale was 49.01 ± 5.73, while the mean of the medication adherence self-efficacy scale was 37.64 ± 8.28. A statistically significant, positive and moderate correlation was found between the medication adherence self-efficacy scale score and Hypertension Self-Efficacy Scale (r=0.344, p=0.0001). Self-efficacy were found to be statistically lower in obese patients, hypertensive patients who did not have blood pressure monitoring, had high blood pressure measurement values, and were smokers (p<0.05). Conclusion: Self-efficacy was associated with medication compliance in hypertensive patients in the study. Obese patients, hypertensive patients who did not have blood pressure monitoring, had high blood pressure measurement values, and were smokers had lower self-efficacy. These factors should also be considered in hypertension management.
