Endüstriyel katı atık yönetiminde bilinç seviyesi: Niğde Bor karma ve deri ihtisas organize sanayi bölgesi örneği

Öz

Ülkelerin üretim merkezleri olarak rağbet gören Organize sanayi bölgelerinin (OSB) oluşturduğu en önemli sorunlardan biri de endüstriyel atıklardır. Endüstrileşme hareketi kapsamında çevreye duyarlı, atık oluşumunu minimize eden, karbon ve su ayak izi düşük proses/ürün ve yaklaşımların benimsenmesi büyük önem arz etmektedir. Hali hazırda popüler konular olan endüstriyel simbiyoz ve döngüsel ekonomi de atık yönetimi kapsamında atılan önemli adımlardan birkaçıdır. Bu çalışmada, Niğde ili Bor ilçesinde bulunan Niğde Bor Karma ve Deri İhtisas Organize Sanayi Bölgesi (BORKOSB) firma ve çalışanlarının bilinç düzeyi, endüstriyel atık yönetim planları ve yıllık atık miktarının hesaplanması ele alınmıştır. Yapılan incelemelerde, bölgedeki atık yoğunluğunun deri endüstrisinden kaynaklandığı tespit edilmiştir.

Level of awareness in industrial solid waste management: Nigde Bor mixed and leather specialized organized industrial zone case

Abstract

One of the main issues arising from OIZs, often used as manufacturing hubs for nations, is industrial waste. As part of the industrialization movement, it is important to adopt processes/products and approaches that are environmentally friendly, minimize waste generation and have a low carbon and water footprint. Industrial symbiosis and circular economy, which are currently popular topics, are some of the important steps taken within the framework of waste management. This study discusses the level of awareness, industrial waste management plans and calculation of annual waste generation among the companies and employees of the Niğde Bor Mixed and Leather Specialized Organized Industrial Zone (BORKOSB) in the Bor district of Niğde province. It was found that the waste intensity in the region is caused by the leather industry.
