Tedarik Zinciri ve İşletme Performansına Bilişim Teknolojilerinin Etkisi

ÇİFÇİBuket ÖZOĞLU ÖZ Bu çalışma Türkiye’den 233 işletme verisini kullanarak bilişim teknolojileri, alıcı tedarikçi işbirliği, tedarik zinciri (alıcı-tedarikçi) performansı ve işletme performansı arasındaki ilişkiyi araştırmıştır. Yapısal eşitlik modellemesi kullanılarak yapılan veri analiz sonuçları bilişim teknolojilerinin tedarik zinciri performansına ve işletme performansına doğrudan etkisi bulunmadığını, bununla birlikte bilişim teknolojileri ve alıcı tedarikçi işbirliği arasında doğrudan bir ilişki bulunduğunu göstermiştir. Alıcı tedarikçi işbirliği ile işletme performansı arasında da doğrudan bir ilişki görülmemiştir. Ancak alıcı tedarikçi işbirliğinin tedarik zinciri performansını pozitif etkilediği, tedarik zinciri performansının da işletme performansını desteklediği tespit edilmiştir. Bir arada değerlendirildiğinde yöneticiler için bu bulgular bilişim teknolojileriyle desteklenen alıcı tedarikçi işbirliğinin, tedarik zinciri ve işletme performansını ciddi şekilde etkileyebilecek bir aracı değişken olduğu anlamına gelmektedir.Anahtar Sözcükler: Bilişim teknolojisi, alıcı tedarikçi işbirliği, performans, yapısal eşitlik modellemesiJEL Kodları: M15, M11, L11 THE IMPACT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ON SUPPLY CHAIN PERFORMANCE AND FIRM PERFORMANCEABS This study investigated the relationships among information technology, buyer-supplier collaboration, supply chain performance and firm performance using survey responses from 233 Turkish manufacturing firms. Analysis of data using structural equation modeling pointed that there was no direct impact of information technologies on supply chain performance and firm performance; however there was direct relationship between information technologies and buyer-supplier collaboration. There was no relationship between buyer-supplier collaboration and firm performance. Further, buyer-supplier collaboration was found to positively impact supply chain performance; supply chain performance also supported firm performance. Taken together, the implications of these findings for managers are that buyer-supplier collaboration is an important mediating variable that is supported by information technology and can significantly impact supply chain performance and firm performance.
