The İmage of Prophet Muhammad in Hassan b. Sabit’s and Ka’b b. Malik’s Poems

Öz

Poetry has been one of the leading literary
arts in the Early Islamic Period and it also has witnessed important events of
the period. There are two Muslim poets of this period: Hassân b. Sâbit and Ka’b
b. Mâlik. Both poets wrote poems in the pre-Islamic period. The two poets after
becoming Muslims they wrote poems defending the İslâm and the prophet. The two
poets expressed both their İslamic meanings and the virtues of pre-İslamic
period in their poems. In this study ıt focused on the evaluations on Muhammad
that written by the two poets for Muhammad. The sample poems were taken from the various odes found in their
divan. The couplet or couplets which may be an example for the research are
mentioned. It given Muhammad's character depictions as a prophet and as a
human. Poets benefited from the meanings of the Quran on portraits of his as prophet. There are some
examples are shown for uses the values of ancient culture in their descriptions
as a human. These assessments are reviewed by giving examples of some of the
poets of pre-Islamic poetry. It is concluded that the early Islamic period
poetry was a continuation of the old poetry tradition, this result has been
reached that Islam was enriched the meaning and content of poetry

HASSAN B. SÂBİT VE KA’B B. MÂLİK’İN ŞİİRLERİNDE HZ. PEYGAMBER (SAV) İMAJI

Öz

Erken İslamî Dönem (Sadru’l-İslâm)’de şiir
önde gelen edebî sanatlardan biri olmuş ve aynı zamanda dönemin önemli
olaylarına tanıklık etmiştir. Bu dönemin iki önemli Müslüman şairi vardır:
Hassân b. Sâbit ve Ka’b b. Mâlik. Her iki şair de İslâm öncesi dönemde de şiir
nazmetmişlerdi. Müslüman olduktan sonra İslâm’ı ve Hz. Peygamber’i savunan
şiirler nazmetmişlerdir. Bu iki şair hem İslâmî temaları hem de İslâm öncesi döneminin
değer ifade eden erdemlerini şiirlerinde dile getirmişlerdir. Bu çalışmada,
zikredilen iki şairin Hz. Peygamber’i değerlendirme biçimleri üzerinde
durulmuştur. Şiirler divanlarında geçen çeşitli kasidelerinden alınmıştır.
Araştırma için örnek olabilecek beyit veya beyitler zikredilmiştir. Hz.
Peygamber’in bir peygamber olarak bir de insan olarak karakter tasvirlerine yer
verilmiştir. Şairler onun peygamber olarak tasvirlerinde Kur’ân’ın
anlamlarından yararlanmışlardır, insan olarak tasvirlerinde ise eski kültürün
değerlerini kullanmışlardır. Bu iki hususu teyit eden, izaha kavuşturan
örneklerler serdedilmiştir. Bu değerlendirmeler İslâm öncesi şairlerinden
birkaçının şiirleri örnek verilerek gerçekleştirilmiştir. Erken İslami Dönem
şiirinin eski şiir geleneğinin bir devamı olduğu, ancak İslâm dininin anlamları
ile muhtevasının zenginleştiği kanaatine varılmıştır.
