In this research, at the beginning of piano education, the educational activities based on perceptual learning styles of students were carried out to reveal the effect of attitude and performance. In experimental part of the experimental and qualitative research methods were used together, with the help of "pre-test and post-test with control group", the effect of teaching activities based upon learning styles on students attitudes and performances has been measured. The interview form structured with method of qualitative research has been used to ask faculty members engaged in the application. The population of the study has been made up of the piano instructors (n=2) and first grade students (n=15) in the department of music education in Selcuk Univesity in 2008-2009 educational term (second semester). The research data has been collected by using the structured behavior observation form, the attitude scale, learning styles inventory and a structured interview form interview form. As a result the following has been found; In initial stage of piano training, educational activities based on learning styles has not any significant difference on students' attitudes. Teaching activities applied to the students, have been significant difference on total performance level of students. And these activities have been found to be applicable on existing program of entry-level piano education
