Öz

In the literature, the export and import between a trade partner in the same sector is called intra-industry trade. In this study, the development of foreign trade between Turkey and Turkey`s partners in the agriculture, mining and the manufacturing sector is analyzed for the period from 1990 to 2013 by using Grubel-Lloyd Index based on data Turkish Statistical Institute. The findings reveals that the foreign trade between Turkey and its major trading partners largely take place in the form of intra-industry trade. Also, it is seen that Turkey search for the alternative markets in times of crisis.

TÜRKİYE`DE ENDÜSTRİ-İÇİ TİCARETİN GELİŞİMİ

Öz

Literatürde, aynı sektörde üretilen ürünlerin ülkeler arasında alınıp satılması endüstri-içi ticaret olarak adlandırılmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, Türkiye ile yakın ticari partnerleri arasındaki dış ticarete konu olan tarım, madencilik ve imalat sanayi sektörleri kapsamında 1990-2013 yılları arası dönemde gerçekleşen endüstri-içi ticaretin gelişimi, TUİK verileri ile tarafımızdan hesaplanan Grubel-Llyod Endeksi kullanılarak araştırılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular, Türkiye ile önemli ticaret ortakları arasındaki dış ticaretin büyük ölçüde endüstri-içi ticaret şeklinde gerçekleştiğini ortaya koymaktadır. Ayrıca kriz dönemlerinde Türkiye`nin alternatif pazar arayışlarına girdiği görülmektedir.
