Öz

The aim of this research is to evaluate the self efficacy perception and the social physique anxiety levels of the Physical Education Teachers working in the Bursa province according to several variables. The population of the study is composed of 94 physical education and sports teachers in the Bursa province who attended voluntarily. To determine the self efficacy perception of the teachers the teacher self efficacy scale developed by Aydyn and his collegues (2004) was applied, and to determine their physique anxiety levels the social physique anxiety scale developed by Leary and Rejeski (1989) and adapted to Turkish by Balli and Ascy (2006) was applied. The collected data was analyzed using the SPSS "13.0" statistical analysis software, and the Mann House U test was used for observing the difference between two groups, Kruskal Wallis test was used for observing the differences between two or more groups depending on variables, and in order to examine the relationships between variables the Pearson's Correlation Coefficient Test was used.
