Günümüzde bilgi teknolojilerinde Ynternet ve bilgisayarlarda ya?anan geli?meler çevrimiçi ö?renme materyallerinde ciddi bir arty?a yol açmy?tyr. Ancak bu materyallerin ne kadar piyasada kalabilece?i kullanycylar tarafyndan ne kadar benimsendikleri ile alakalydyr. Kullanycylar üzerinde gerçekle?tirilen kullanylabilirlik çaly?malary verimli ve kullanycy dostu bir çevirimici materyalin tasarlanmasyna yardymcy olur. Bu çaly?manyn amacy bir çevirimici ö?renme materyaline ili?kin sonrasynda materyalin geli?tirilmesine ve bir takym geli?tirmelerin yapylabilmesine rehberlik edecek kullanycy algylaryny ortaya koymaktyr. Bu amaçla kullanycylardan hem niteliksel hem de niceliksel veriler toplanmy? ve toplanylan veri hem betimsel hem de niteliksel veri analizi yöntemleri ile analiz edilmi?tir.Çaly?manyn sonuçlarynyn hem uygulayycylara prototipin geli?tirilebilmesi için yapylmasy gerekenler listesi olu?turacak hem de di?er uygulayycylara çevrimiçi bir ö?renme materyali, aracy ya da sisteminin geli?tirilmesi a?amasynda nasyl kullanylabilirlik çaly?masy yapylaca?y konusunda rehberlik edecektir.

ENHANCEMENT OF USABILITY AND USER FRIENDLINESS OF AN ONLINE LEARNING MATERIAL THROUGH USERS' SUGGESTIONS

Öz

Current developments in information technologies with computers and the Internet have correspondingly resulted in the explosion of online learning materials in the field of education. However, survival of these materials is concerned with how much they are adopted by the users. Usability studies with users can help in designing an efficient and user-friendly online learning material and its interfaces. The aim of the current research is to reveal the kinds of perceptions users have towards the usability of an online learning material which would guide the modifications and improvements to be made on it. Therefore, both quantitative and qualitative data has been collected from the users and the collected data analyzed descriptively and with qualitative data analysis methods. The findings of the study are supposed to be used by the practitioners as a to-do list for improvements to be made on the prototype and guide other practitioners how to implement a usability study in the development phase of an online learning material, tool or system.
