The main purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between attitudes towards childhood vaccines and health literacy. The universe of the research consists of all parents who applied to a family medicine center operating in the city center of Iğdır. Each parent who applied to a family medicine center operating in the provincial centers of Iğdır was included in the research sample. A total of 403 questionnaires were collected from the participants and analyzed. Data collected by face-to-face survey method were analyzed with SPSS and AMOS statistical analysis programs. The construct validity revealed by exploratory factor analysis was also confirmed by confirmatory factor analysis. According to the results of the correlation analysis; it has been observed that there is a moderate and negative correlation between the attitude towards childhood vaccinations and health literacy. According to the results of confirmatory factor analysis, it was determined that there is an inverse relationship between the attitude towards childhood vaccinations and health literacy, and that the level of health literacy affects the attitude towards childhood vaccinations in a statistically significant and negative way. Therefore, it is recommended to increase the vaccination literacy levels of individuals for childhood vaccines and to carry out studies in this direction.
