Öz

Türkiye’de iktisadi kalkınma GSMH ile ortaöğretim-üniversite mezunu öğrenci sayıları arasındaki ilişkiler Sims, Genişletilmiş Sims, TodaYamamoto nedensellik, varyans ayrıştırma analizleri ve etki-tepki fonksiyonları ile 1950-2012 dönemi araştırılmıştır. Farklı nedensellik analizleri, pozitif nedenselliğin GSMH’den üniversite mezunu öğrenci sayısına; genel lisemeslek lisesi mezun sayısından GSMH’ye doğru hareket ettiğini göstermiştir.

The Relationship between Education and Economic Growth in Turkey: Sims and TodaYamamoto Causality Analyses

Öz

The relationship between economic development GDP and the number of graduate students from highschool-university have been analyzed by using Sims, modified Sims, Toda-Yamamoto causality, variance decomposition analyses and impulse-response functions from 1950 to 2012 period in Turkey. Alternative causality tests show that there is a positive uni-directional causalit running from the GDP to the number of graduated university students and from the graduated regular and vocational high schools students to the GDP
