Telekomünikasyon Sektöründe Liberalizasyon ve Türkiye’deki Durum

Öz

Telekomünikasyon sektörü günümüzde bilgiye dayalı bir ekonominin gelişmesinde önemli rol oynamaktadır. Birkaç istisna dışında tüm dünyada telekomünikasyonun hizmetleri uzun süre devlet tekelleriyle sunulmuştur. Ancak bu durum telekomünikasyon hizmetlerinin sunumunda düşük verimlilik, yüksek maliyetler gibi birtakım sorunların yaşanmasına neden olmuştur. Telekomünikasyon dinamik bir yapıyı gerektirir. Teknoloji telekomünikasyonda önemli bir rol oynar. Devlet tekelleri yeni teknolojik değişiklikleri takip edememektedirler. Tüm gelişmiş ve azgelişmiş ülkelerde mikro ekonomik reformlar çerçevesinde telekomünikasyon alanında reformlar başlatılmıştır.
