Contribution to Child Mental Health in the Year of the Family: A Bibliometric Analysis of Philosophy for Children

Öz

This study presents a bibliometric analysis of 689 articles on “Philosophy for Children” (P4C) indexed in the Web of Science database between 1976-2025. Analysis via the VOSviewer software revealed that the most frequently used term was philosophy for children. The most influential author identified was Lipman. Cassidy showed the highest level of bibliographic coupling. The United States and Montclair State University emerged as the most prominent country and institution. Gagnon, Mathieu appears as a central figure within the author collaboration network. The journal Childhood and Philosophy is the most prolific and most cited journal. The potential of P4C to support children's and families’ mental health underscores its relevance for expanding and diversifying the body of knowledge in this field.

Öz

Bu çalışmada, Web of Science veri tabanında 1976-2025 yılları arasında yayımlanmış 689 “Philosophy for Children” (P4C) alanındaki makaleler bibliyometrik analiz ile incelenmiştir. VOSviewer programıyla analiz edilen makalelerde en sık geçen terim: philosophy for children’dır. En etkili yazar Lipman’dır; Cassidy en yüksek bibliyografik eşleşmeye sahiptir. Amerika Birleşik Devletleri ve Montclair State University öne çıkan ülke ve kurumdur. İş birliği ağının ortasında yazar Gagnon, Mathieu vardır. En çok yayın yapan ve atıf alan dergi Childhood and Philosophy’dir. P4C’nin çocuk ve aile ruh sağlığına katkısı, literatürü zenginleştirme potansiyeli taşımaktadır.
