Sovyet Uzay Programının Görsel Sanat Mirası Üzerine Bir İnceleme

Öz

Tarihsel süreçte gökyüzü temelli sanat anlatısının 20. yüzyıla gelindiğinde ideolojilerle iç içe geçmiş olduğu görülmektedir. Bu bağlamda makale 20. yüzyılda Sovyetler Birliği'nin uzay programını ve devlet desteğinin sanata uyarlanmasından ortaya çıkan durumları nitel ve kronolojik açıdan incelemektedir. Makalede; propaganda, gelecek, uzay ve komünist ideolojinin kamusal görsel kültürde nasıl iç içe geçtiği tarafsız bir dille analiz edilmektedir. Bu bağlamda makalede günümüze kalan uzay temalı birçok Sovyet dönemi posteri, duvar resmi, heykel gibi görsel örnekler anlatılmıştır. Eserler tematik öğeler içerisinde; tasarımsal stiller ve ideolojik bağlam, roket bilimi ve kozmik manzaralar gibi belirli motiflerin sıklığı dikkat çekmektedir. Bulgular, teknolojik ilerleme ve kozmik kadere odaklanan kolektif bir kimlik geliştirmeyi amaçlayan bilimsel başarının; komünizm ve kozmizm vizyonlarıyla kasıtlı bir şekilde birleştirilmesini ortaya koymaktadır.

An Examination of the Visual Art Legacy of the Soviet Space Program

Öz

In the historical context, it becomes evident that sky-oriented artistic narratives became increasingly intertwined with ideology by the 20th century. In this regard, the article qualitatively and chronologically examines the Soviet Union's space program in the 20th century and the implications of its state-sponsored integration into art. The study analyzes, in an objective manner, how propaganda, visions of the future, space, and communist ideology intersected within the realm of public visual culture. Accordingly, the article discusses numerous surviving space-themed visual examples from the Soviet era—such as posters, murals, and sculptures. Within thematic categories, recurring motifs such as stylistic design elements, ideological context, rocket science, and cosmic landscapes stand out. The findings reveal the deliberate fusion of scientific achievement with the visions of communism and cosmism, aiming to cultivate a collective identity centered on technological advancement and a cosmic destiny.
