Yıl 2025, Cilt: 26 Sayı: Özel Sayı, 2083 - 2111, 30.12.2025

Öz

In recent years, the phenomenon of family entrepreneurship, where family business and entrepreneurship intersect, has gained attention. The diversity from these two broad research areas enables the concept to open new avenues for inquiry. This study aims to analyze the historical evolution of family entrepreneurship literature thematically and methodologically. By mapping and classifying pioneering studies, it seeks to create a thematic “knowledge map” to guide future research. A total of 87 scientific studies were examined. Findings show that the literature clusters around six main themes: Conceptualization and Theoretical Framework, Management and Governance from a Family Perspective, Innovation–Resource–Capability Interaction, Market Strategies and Internationalization, Sustainability and Performance, and Social and Structural Context.
