Fen Bilimleri Dersi Işık Kavramı Üzerine Türkiye’de Yapılan Lisansüstü Tezlerin İncelenmesi

Öz

Işık kavramı, görme duyusunun işleyişini açıklaması ve optik teknolojilerin temelini oluşturması nedeniyle fen eğitimi alanında önemli bir araştırma konusudur. Bu araştırmada, Ocak 2015–Aralık 2025 yılları arasında Türkiye’de fen bilimleri dersi kapsamında ışık kavramına yönelik gerçekleştirilen lisansüstü tezler doküman analizi yöntemiyle incelenmiştir. Ulusal Tez Merkezi veri tabanında “ışık”, “ışık ünitesi”, “ışık konusu” ve “ışığın madde ile etkileşimi” anahtar kelimeleri kullanılarak toplam 91 teze ulaşılmıştır. Tezler; yayın yılı, yayın türü, üniversite, anabilim dalı, araştırma yöntemi, anahtar kelimeler, çalışma kitlesi ve katılımcılar açısından analiz edilmiştir. Bulgular, tezlerin en yoğun 2024 yılında yapıldığını, çoğunlukla Matematik ve Fen Bilimleri Eğitimi anabilim dallarında yürütüldüğünü ve en fazla 7. sınıf düzeyine odaklanıldığını göstermektedir. Ayrıca akademik başarı, tutum ve motivasyon anahtar kelimelerinin yaygın olarak kullanıldığı belirlenmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçların, araştırmacıların literatürdeki eğilimleri ve boşlukları daha net görmelerine katkı sağlayacağı; özellikle doktora düzeyinde çalışmaların sınırlı olması, 3., 4. ve 6. sınıf düzeylerinde araştırmaların bulunmaması ve güncel eğitim yaklaşımlarını ele alan çalışmaların azlığı dikkate alınarak gelecekte yapılacak araştırmalara yön gösterici olacağı düşünülmektedir.

An Examination of Postgraduate Theses on the Concept of Light in Science Education in Türkiye

Öz

The concept of light is an important research topic in the field of science education because it explains the functioning of the sense of vision and forms the basis of optical technologies. In this study, postgraduate theses on the concept of light within the scope of science course in Turkey between January 2015 and December 2025 were analysed by document analysis method. A total of 91 theses were reached by using the keywords ‘light’, ‘light unit’, ‘light subject’ and ‘interaction of light with matter’ in the National Thesis Centre database. Theses were analysed in terms of publication year, publication type, university, department, research method, keywords, study population and participants. The findings show that the most intensive theses were published in 2024, mostly conducted in the departments of Mathematics and Science Education, and mostly focused on the 7th grade level. In addition, it was determined that the keywords academic achievement, attitude and motivation were commonly used. It is thought that the results obtained will contribute to the researchers to see the trends and gaps in the literature more clearly; especially considering the limited studies at the doctoral level, the lack of studies at the 3rd, 4th and 6th grade levels, and the scarcity of studies addressing current educational approaches, it is thought that it will be a guide for future research.
