Megaselia scalaris (Loew, 1866), Scuttle fly, which has the ability to spread to a wide variety of environments and ecological niches, is known as a polyphagous species that exhibits parasitic, facultative parasite and parasitoid behavior. This species was obtained from deads of Palomena prasina (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae) cultured in laboratory conditions by collecting from hazelnut growing area in Samsun province. The larvae were fed in the body of the adult P. prasina, by consuming all the internal organs, and observed that there were pupae on the body wall. The adults were obtained from cultured these pupae. This study reports the first record in Turkey of P. prasina, which is a new host of M. scalaris.
