Öz

Öz: Tüberküloz
(TB) günümüzde halen önemli bir halk sağlığı problemidir. En az akciğer
tüberkülozu kadar akciğer dışı TB tutulumları da önemlidir. Gelişmekte olan
ülkelerde TB genellikle uygunsuz sosyoekonomik ve hijyenik koşullarla yakın
ilişkilidir. Ekstrapulmoner TB’nin teşhisi nonspesifik belirtileri nedeniyle
genellikle güçtür. Klinisyenler tarafından özellikle endemik bölgeden gelmekte
olan mülteci hastaların takibinde bu tür nonspesifik belirtilerin
mikobakteriyel etyolojiye bağlı olabileceğinin göz önünde bulundurulması büyük
öneme sahiptir. Bu yazıda ilimizde tanı alan ekstrapulmoner TB’li iki mülteci
kardeş olgu sunulmaktadır.

Two refugee siblings with extrapulmonary tuberculosis

Abstract: Tuberculosis stil remains as a public health problem today. Extrapulmonary involvement is as significant as pulmonary infection. In developing countries TB is commonly associated with inadequate socio-economic and sanitary conditions. Usually the diagnosis of extrapulmonary TB is difficult because of non-specific clinical features. It is of great importance for clinicians to pay attention to mycobacterial etiology as a possible cause of such vague and non-specific symptoms especially when studying with immigrant patients who came from endemic areas. We report two refugee siblings with extrapulmonary TB in this article.
