COVID-19 Tanısı Almış Hastalara Bakım Veren Hemşirelerde Akran Desteği Yöntemi ile Uygulanan Mesleki ve MBSR Akran Desteği Programının Kaygı, Tükenmişlik ve Bilinçli Farkındalık Üzerine Etkisi: Bir Karma Yöntem Araştırması

Öz

Amaç: Bu araştırmada, pandemi sürecinde çalışan hemşirelere akran desteği yöntemi ile uygulanan mesleki ve MBSR Akran Desteği Programının yaşanan kaygı, tükenmişlik ve bilinçli farkındalık üzerine etkisini incelemek amaçlanmıştır.
Yöntem: Açımlayıcı Sıralı Karma Desende yürütülen araştırmanın evrenini bir hastanede çalışan 580 hemşire, nicel aşamasının örneklemini 195 hemşire, nitel aşamasının örneklemini ise akran desteği veren 15 hemşire ve akran desteği alan 49 hemşire oluşturmuştur. Veriler niceliksel ve niteliksel yöntemlerle toplanmıştır.
Bulgular: Akran desteği alan hemşirelerin durumluk kaygı, sürekli kaygı ve tükenmişlik son test puan ortalamalarının ön test puan ortalamalarına göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı derecede düştüğü görülürken, bilinçli farkındalık son test puanının arttığı görülmüştür (p<0,005). Nitel analizler sonucunda üç ana tema ve altı alt tema belirlenmiştir.
Sonuç: Pandemi sürecinde görev yapan hemşirelere uygulanan MBSR Akran Desteği Programının hemşirelerin yaşadığı kaygı ve tükenmişlik düzeylerini azaltırken, bilinçli farkındalık düzeyini arttırdığı sonucuna varılmıştır.

The Effect of Vocational and MBSR Peer Support Programme Applied with Peer Support Method on Anxiety, Burnout and Mindfulness in Nurses Caring for Patients Diagnosed with COVID-19: A Mixed Method Research

Öz

Objective: This study aimed to examine the effect of the professional and MBSR Peer Support Programme applied to nurses working during the pandemic process peer support method on anxiety, burnout and mindfulness.
Methods: The population of the study, which was conducted in Exploratory Sequential Mixed Design, consisted of 580 nurses working in a hospital; the sample of the quantitative phase consisted of 195 nurses, and the sample of the qualitative phase consisted of 15 nurses providing peer support and 49 nurses receiving peer support. Data were collected using quantitative and qualitative methods.
Results: The post-test mean scores of state anxiety, trait anxiety and burnout of the nurses receiving peer support decreased statistically significantly compared to the pre-test mean scores. In contrast, the post-test score of mindfulness increased (p<0.005). As a result of qualitative analyses, three main themes and six sub-themes were determined.
Conclusion: It was concluded that the MBSR Peer Support Programme applied to nurses working during the pandemic decreased the anxiety and burnout levels nurses experienced and increased mindfulness.
