Yıl 2025, Cilt: 8 Sayı: 2, 321 - 331, 26.08.2025
https://doi.org/10.38108/ouhcd.1205709

Objective: This study was conducted to determine the COVID-19 phobia and fear of death levels in women during the COVID-19 pandemic period.
Methods: This descriptive-correlational study was carried out using the snowball sampling method by sharing questionnaires through social media sites and social networks, with 2040 women in Türkiye who agreed to participate in the study.
Results: The data were obtained with the COVID-19 Phobia Scale (C19P-S) and the "one's own death" subscale of the Collett-Lester Fear of Death Scale (CL-FODS). A moderate, positive, significant linear relationship was observed between the participants’ fear of death and COVID-19 phobia scores.
Conclusions: As a result of this study, it was determined that fear of death increased as COVID-19 phobia increased, and the participants who knew individuals in their immediate environment who had experienced the disease or died of it were affected more negatively by the pandemic period.
