Abstract

Over time, in spite of various improvements in diagnostic technology, physical examination maintains its importance and still creating basic all types of medical diagnosis. Pulmonary auscultation is the essence of physical examination. Although pulmonary auscultation is known since Hippocrates, it became a milestone in this matter in which Laennec‘s invention of the stethoscope, categorization of lung sounds and these are associated with lung pathologies. Over the time, followed changes in terminology related to lung sounds caused difficulties to use a common language for clinicians. With this article, breathing sounds which are listened several times every day in daily practical revising with current guides and it is aimed to emphasize the importance of diagnosis lung pathology in this diagnosis method which is fast and non-invasive, easy-repeatable

Akciğer: Sesimi Duyan Var Mı?

Öz

Yıllar içinde tanısal teknolojideki çeşitli gelişmelere rağmen fizik muayene önemini korumakta ve halen her türlü tıbbi tanının temelini oluşturmaktadır. Akciğer oskültasyonu fizik muayenenin olmazsa olmazıdır. Hipokrat’dan bu yana akciğer oskültasyonu bilinmesine rağmen 1816 da Laennec’ın steteskopu keşfi, ana akciğer seslerini sınıflandırması ve bunları akciğer patolojileri ile ilişkilendirmesi bu konunun dönüm noktası olmuştur. Zaman içinde akciğer sesleri ile ilişkili terminolojide izlenen değişiklikler klinisyenlerin ortak dil kullanımında zorluklara sebep olmuştur. Bu yazı ile günlük pratikte her gün defalarca dinlediğimiz solunum seslerinin güncel kılavuzlarla yeniden gözden geçirilmesi ve kolay, tekrarlanabilir, hızlı ve girişimsel olmayan bu tanı yönteminin akciğer patolojilerini saptamadaki öneminin vurgulanması amaçlanmıştır.
