Büyüme hormonu eksikliği BHE tedavi edilebilir büyüme gerilikleri içinde en yüzgüldürücü olandır. Kalıtsal ve edinsel nedenlere bağlı olabilir. İzole ve birçok hormoneksikliği ile birlikte görülebilir. Tanı kriterleri ve bu nedenle tedavi endikasyonları hala tartışılmaktadır

Growth hormone deficiency is the most promising entity in terms of response totherapy among the treatable causes of growth retardation. It may be due to genetic or acquired causes. It may be isolated or a part of multiple hormone deficiencies.Diagnostic criteria and therefore treatment indications are still disputed
