Öz

Çocukluk çağı astımı havayollarının çeşitli uyaranlara karşı aşırı duyarlığı sonucu oluşan, tekrarlayan ve genellikle havayollarının geri dönüşümlü tıkanıklığı ile seyreden kronik bir inflamatuvar hava yolu hastalığıdır. Öksürük ve hışıltı wheezing semptomlarının ortaya çıktığı veya ağırlaştığı, nefes darlığı ve göğüste sıkışma hissinin belirginleştiği klinik tablo akut astım atağı olarak değerlendirilir 1 .
