Prebiyotik ve Probiyotikler

Öz

Gastrointestinal sistem G‹S doğum sırasında steril iken saatler içerisinde mikroorganizmalar ile kolonize olur. GİS’in kolonizasyonu, çeşitli etmenlerin dinamik bir etkileşimiyle oluşan karmaşık bir olaydır. İntestinal flora yaklaşık 1012 hücre/gm kuru ağırlık oranında ve 400-500 türden bakteri içermektedir 1,2 . Bunun total vücut hücrelerinin yaklaşık %95’ini oluşturduğu göz önüne alınırsa kalın bağırsakların oldukça özelleşmiş ve aktif bir organ olduğu anlaşılmaktadır.
