An Overview of Psychosocial Interventions with Divorced Women in Türkiye
Öz
This study aims to comprehensively examine psychosocial interventions conducted with divorced women in Türkiye. A total of six studies examining psychosocial interventions were included in the study at the end of a systematic scoping review process, following the PRISMA-ScR guidelines, in the Web of Science, Scopus, PubMed, YÖKTEZ, and ULAKBİM databases. The findings show that the number of interventions in this field in Türkiye is limited, and there is diversity in terms of theoretical approaches, sample characteristics, intervention type and content, and implementation methods. The effectiveness of psychosocial interventions in these studies was examined across variables such as adjustment to divorce, emotional awareness, psychological well-being, psychological resilience, family life satisfaction, depression, anxiety, loneliness, parental stress, parental acceptance, and empathy. All included studies showed significant positive changes in psychological variables following psychosocial interventions. Consequently, these findings present a positive picture regarding the effectiveness of psychosocial interventions conducted with divorced women in Türkiye. However, the limited number of studies highlighted the need and importance of developing new interventions to support the psychosocial well-being of divorced women in future research.
