Nursing students encounter cancer patients who need palliative care during their education. It is known that nursing students experience serious psychological distress during the palliative care process. This study aims to examine the experiences of nursing undergraduate students in an oncology palliative clinic. Materials and methods: The study was conducted with a phenomenological design. Data collection tools: Student Introduction Form, Semi-Structured Questionnaire Form. A total of 7 participants were included in the study. Findings: The main theme of the students' physical dimension was related to the subthemes of fatigue and insomnia; the main theme of the psychological dimension was related to the subthemes of existential concerns, difficulty in coping and difficulty in communicating with patients; and the main theme of the social dimension was determined to be related to lack of education and communication problems. Conclusion: Nursing students' experiences in palliative care consist of three main themes: physical dimension, psychological dimension and social dimension. Appropriate educational planning and clinical support of students are important.
