Managing pregnancy and birth with a stoma: A case of resilience and positive outlook

Öz

Abstract: This case study examines the treatment of a 32-year-old woman with a history of Fournier's gangrene requiring a stoma and who was later diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. Despite these difficulties, she successfully managed an unplanned pregnancy and gave birth to a healthy child. This report takes an interdisciplinary approach covering obstetrics and general surgery, focusing on proactive management and psychological resilience of the patient, and provides valuable information on similar cases.

Stomalı gebelik ve doğumu yönetmek: Dayanıklılık ve olumlu bakış açısına ilişkin bir olgu

Öz

Özet: Bu vaka çalışması, stoma gerektiren Fournier kangreni öyküsü olan ve daha sonra Tip 2 diyabet tanısı konulan 32 yaşındaki bir kadının tedavisini incelemektedir. Bu zorluklara rağmen planlanmamış bir hamileliği başarıyla yöneterek sağlıklı bir çocuk doğurdu. Bu rapor, hastanın proaktif yönetimine ve psikolojik dayanıklılığına odaklanarak, kadın doğum ve genel cerrahiyi kapsayan disiplinler arası yaklaşımı ele almakta ve benzer vakalara ilişkin değerli bilgiler sağlamaktadır.
