Kronik obstrüktif akciğer hastalarında, manevi iyi oluş, alternatif tedavi kullanımı ve ilaç uyumu: Tanımlayıcı bir çalışma

Öz

Amaç: Bu çalışma kronik obstrüktif akciğer hastalığa sahip bireylerin manevi iyilik hali ile alternatif tedavi kullanımı ve ilaç uyumu arasındaki ilişkinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı ve ilişki arayıcı bir çalışmadır. Uygulama öncesi gerekli izin ve onamlar alınmıştır. Araştırmada Helsinki Deklerasyonu’ na, raporlamada STROBE kurallarına uyulmuştur. Veriler, Mayıs- Eylül 2023 tarihleri arasında toplanmıştır. Örneklem, güç analizi ile belirlenmiştir (n:94). Verilerin toplanmasında; katılımcı bilgi formu FACIT-Sp-12 (Version 4), Bütüncül Tamamlayıcı ve Alternatif Tıbba Karşı Tutum Ölçeği, İlaç Uyumu Bildirim Ölçeği kullanılmıştır .Bulgular: Katılımcıların yaş ortalaması 51.85±13.840, BKI 26.23±4.060’dır. Çoğu erkek (%52.1), başka bir kronik hastalığı olan (%55.3), evde oksijen desteğine gereksinim duymayan (%79.8) bireylerdir. Katılımcıların manevi iyi oluşluk düzeyi ortalamanın altında, alternatif tıbba karşı tutum puanları ortalamanın oldukça üstünde, ilaç uyum puanları da ortalamanın üstündedir. Ölçek puanları bazı sosyodemografik değişkenlerden etkilenmektedir. Manevi iyi oluşluk ile alternatif tedavi yöntemleri kullanımı ve ilaç uyumu arasında negatif, alternatif yöntem kullanımı ile ilaç uyumu arasında pozitif yönde bir ilişki vardır. Sonuç: Hemşirelerin ve hemşirelik öğrencilerinin bu alana yönelik farkındalıklarının artması, hastaların ilaç uyumunu değerlendirmesi ve gerekli girişimde bulunması önerilebilir.

In chronic obstructive pulmonary patients; spiritual well-being, alternative treatment use and medication compliance: A desctriptive study

Öz

ABSTRACT Objective: This study aimed to determine the relationship between spiritual well-being, use of alternative therapies, and medication adherence in individuals with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Method: This is a descriptive and correlational study. Necessary permissions and consents were obtained before the application. The Helsinki Declaration was followed in the research, and STROBE rules were followed in reporting. Data were collected between May and September 2023. The sample was determined by power analysis (n:94). The following instruments were used to collect data: Participant Information Form FACIT-Sp-12 (Version 4), Attitude Towards Integrative, Complementary and Alternative Medicine Scale, and Medication Adherence Reporting Scale. Findings: The mean age of the participants was 51.85±13.840, and BMI was 26.23±4.060. Most were male (52.1%), had another chronic disease (55.3%), and did not require oxygen support at home (79.8%). Participants' spiritual well-being levels were below average, their attitudes towards alternative medicine scores were significantly above average, and their medication adherence scores were also above average. Scale scores were influenced by some sociodemographic variables. There was a negative correlation between spiritual well-being and the use of alternative treatment methods and medication adherence, and a positive correlation between the use of alternative methods and medication adherence. Conclusion: It is recommended that nurses and nursing students increase their awareness of this area, evaluate patients' medication adherence, and take necessary interventions.
