Tıbbi Hata Hasta Güvenliği Çalışan Güvenliği Güvenlik Raporlama
Objective: This study was carried out with the aim of determining the existence of corporate security reporting culture and emphasizing the importance of SRS by conducting a retrospective analysis of the reports of Konya Seydişehir State Hospital (SSH) Security Reporting System (SRS).
Materials and Methods: For this cross-sectional and retrospective study, data belonging to the notifications (N = 30) recorded by SRS between 01.01.2016 and 01.10.2017 were used. In addition, a survey was conducted to determine the opinions and suggestions of employees about SRS. The obtained data were analyzed by frequency and percentage tables in SPSS 16.0 program.
Findings: A total of 30 notifications were made between 01.01.2016 - 01.10.2017, of which 12 were related to employee security, 18 were related to patient safety, 22 were digitally intranetted and 8 were written out form 4, corrective preventive action was organized, root cause analysis was performed on 1, and 11 was not evaluated. It was determined that 70.2% of the employees reported using intranet events that threatened patient and employee safety, 93.8% were trained about SRS, 91.2% of them considered SRS as an effective method of providing patient and employee safety.
Result: For quality and safe health care, both healthcare professionals and patients and their relatives need to be in a safe environment. In order to provide such an environment, security threats must be removed or minimized. Nowadays, it is the most effective method to provide patient / employee security by means of a reporting system designed to prevent the threats to patient / employee safety. The data obtained in this study suggest that SSH employees are often informed about events that threaten patient and employee safety using SRS, that they have information about SRS and that they are trained in this issue, but because the number of SRS notifications is low, hesitations and hesitations.
