Aim: To determine the effect of workaholics on work-family conflict and to determine whether there is a mediating role in family-work conflict in this effect.
Materials and Method: The study sample consists of 200 non-physicians working in Bingöl State Hospital. A questionnaire form consisting of three parts and 37 questions was used as data collection tool. In the first part, there are socio-demographic characteristics, in the second part, the DUWAS-TR scale, and in the last part, the Work-Family Life Conflict scale. Descriptive statistical methods, reliability and validity analysis, correlation and regression analyzes were performed in the analysis of the data.
Findings: As a result of the analysis, it was found that workaholics had a statistically significant and positive effect on work-family conflict, and family-work conflict had a low level of mediating effect on work-family conflict.
Conclusion: Over-dependence of employees may cause problems in family life. Employees dependent on their jobs are expected to experience a work-family conflict, as they cannot allocate enough time to their families.
