Medikal Ozon Tedavisi ve COVID-19

Öz

Geleneksel ve tamamlayıcı tıp kapsamında kullanılan ozon tedavisi, medikal kullanımının yanı sıra sağlığın korunması, geliştirilmesi, spor performansının artırılması ve estetik amacıyla da kullanılan bir yöntemdir. Bu çalışmada ozonun medikal tedavideki tarihsel gelişimi, kullanım yöntemleri, etkileri ve COVID-19 hastalığındaki kullanımının incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında literatür incelemesi yapılarak ulusal ve uluslar arası çalışmalar incelenmiştir. Yapılan analiz sonucunda ozon tedavisinin sıklıkla romatizmal, inflamatuvar ve diş hastalıklarının tedavisinde kullanıldığı, en çok majör otohemoterapi yönteminin tercih edildiği görülmektedir. Ozon tedavisinin birçok hastalıkta ve COVID-19’da olumlu etkisinin olduğunu gösteren çalışmaların sayısında artış görülse de, klinik çalışmaların yetersiz olduğu ve halen bazı önyargıların da bulunduğunu söyleyebiliriz.
