Öz

Bu çalışmada, hemşirelik bakımına farklı bir bakış
açısı getiren hemşire teorisyen Jean Watson’ın bakım modelinin (İnsan Bakım Modeli)
özünün daha iyi anlaşılması amacıyla modeli oluşturan kavramlar ve model ile
yapılan çalışmalar incelenmiştir. Çalışmada ilk
olarak; İnsan Bakım Modelini oluşturan iyileştirici faktörler ve iyileştirme
süreçleri, kişilerarası bakım ilişkisi, bakım anı, bakım iyileştirme bilinci
kavramlarına yer verilmiştir. Daha sonra modelin kullanıldığı bazı çalışmaların
sonuçlarına değinilmiştir. Modelin temeli hemşirelik bakımının sevgi, saygı ve
nezaketle verilmesine dayanmaktadır. Hemşire ve hasta fiziksel
karşılaşmalarının ötesinde varoluşsal alanlarda gerçekleşen bütünleşme yoluyla
birbirlerini etkilemektedirler. Bu şekilde meydana gelen kişilerarası bakım
ilişkisi hemşire ve hastanın birbirini anlamasını kolaylaştırmaktadır.
Dolayısıyla hastanın memnuniyetini ve güvenliğini artırmakta, iyileşmesine
yardımcı olmaktadır. Hemşire kişilerarası bakım ilişkisi içerisinde
iyileştirici faktörleri kullanarak bakımın iyileştirici gücünü ortaya koyar.
İnanç- umut aşılama, duyarlılık, güven ilişkisi kurma, duyguların ifadesine
izin verme, öğrenme ve öğretme, iyileştirici çevre iyileştirici faktörlerden
bazılarıdır. Yapılan çalışmalar modelin hemşirelik uygulamaları için iyi bir
rehber olduğunu ve bakım sonuçlarını iyileştirdiğini göstermektedir. Bu
literatür incelemesi sonucunda Watson’ın Modelinin insan bakımının değişik
alanlarında kullanılabilecek bütüncül bir model olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. Bu
bağlamda modelin kavramsal çerçevesine ve işleyişine ilişkin bu derlemenin
modelden yararlanmak isteyen hemşire uygulayıcılara yararlı olacağı
düşünülmektedir.

A Conceptual Analysis Of Watson’s Theory Of Human Caring

Öz

In this study, the model and concepts which are
constituents of Watson’s care model were investigated in order to better
understand the nature of the Watson's caring model (Human Caring Model), which was
suggested by Jean Watson, the nurse theorist, and brought a new perspective to
nursing care. First of all, the concepts that constitutes the Human Caring
Model such as carative factors and caritas processes, transpersonal caring
relationship, caring moment, and caritas consciousness were explained in this
study. Afterwards the results of certain studies relating to the model were
mentioned. The model is based on nursing care given with love, respect and
courtesy. The nurse and the patient interacts with each other via integration
thorough existential region beyond physical borders. Such interpersonal caring
relationship makes it easier for the nurse and the patient to understand each
other. Therefore, caritas is improved by promotion of the satisfaction and
safety level of the patient. The nurse produces carative power of care by using
the carative factors within the interpersonal caring relationship. Carative
factors include factors such as instilling hope and faith, being sensitive,
developing trusting relationship, enabling expression of emotions, learning and
teaching and, healing environment. Studies related to the topic showed that the
model was an appropriate guide for nursing practice and improved care outcomes.
As a result of this literature review, it was concluded that Watson's Model is
a holistic model that may be used in various areas of human care. In this
context, we suppose that our review regarding to conceptual framework and
functioning of the model will be useful for nurse practitioners who wish to
benefit from the model.
