It is also possible to see the animal impacts on art. Animal paintings on cave walls based on nearly forty thousand years hold clues or official documents to catch various cultures lived in that years. Our research aims the pioneer of recent Fables, Physiologus and human animal relationship inspiring it teaching while amusing and educating as well. Human animal relation had huge influence emerging Physiologus both in the west and in east reaching wide mass during medieval times.Physiologus works were called according to the places they were and produced mostly to teach Christian doctrines implying. Allegorical and symbolical meanings were used in Physiologus works. Features of animals in nature were benefitted to make animal meanings and tried to their relation with mankind. This situation brought new additions and some substractions in following years preparing new Physiologus works.

İNSAN VE HAYVAN İLİŞKİSİ KAPSAMINDA MASAL KİTAPLARININ ESİN KAYNAĞI OLAN SMYRNA PHYSIOLOGUS’U

Öz

Sanatta çeşitli örneklerle hayvanların etkilerine rastlamak mümkündür. Mağara duvarlarında bulunan yaklaşık kırk bin yıl öncesine dayanan hayvan figürleri, o dönemde yaşamış kültürlerin izlerini sürmek için birer ipucu ya da resmi kayıt niteliği taşımaktadır. Çalışmamızın amacı günümüz Fablların öncüsü olarak kabul edilen, eğlendirirken aynı zamanda eğiten Physiologus ile insan hayvan ilişkisidir. Ortaçağ dönemine ait hem doğuda, hem de batıda geniş kitlelere ulaşmış Physiologus’un ortaya çıkmasında insan ve hayvan ilişkisi son derece etkin rol oynamıştır. Bulundukları veya üretildikleri yerlere göre isimlendirilen Physiologuslar çoğunlukla Hristiyan öğretilerini dolaylı olarak yansıtmışlardır. Physiologuslarda alegorik ve sembolik çeşitli anlamlar kullanılmıştır. Anlamların oluşumunda hayvanların doğadaki özelliklerinden yararlanılmış, insanlarla olan ilişkileri incelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu durum sonraki yüzyıllarda da farklı dillerdeki Physiologuslar hazırlanırken sürekli olarak değişime, gelişime sebep olmuş çeşitli ekleme ve çıkarmaları beraberinde getirmiştir.
