THE COMPANIONS WHO ARE SEEN RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DEATH OF OSMAN THE COMPANION AND WHAT HAPPENED TO ONES WHO PARTICIPATED IN THIS EVENT
Abstract
This article is about the companions who are seen responsible for the death of Osman the companion, who is the third Khalif of Muslims, the son-in-law of the Prophet Muhammad, the clerk of the revelation and one of the first Muslims. Unfortunately, it is still unknown by whom executed the death of Osman the companion, which is accepted as the first unrest in the history of Islam. In the 35th years of hijra when the event was carried out, Islamic society in the place where the event occurred was composed of companions and their successors. Thus, the men who participated in the event of the death of Osman the companion were someone from these two groups. Besides, according to allegations of some sources, the actors of the event were the prominent companions and the successors. A huge proportion of the information about Osman the companion is composed of the non-objective evaluations generated after the event by virtue of denominational prejudices. For this reason, the reliability rates of them are highly low.
In this research, in the light of the main sources, firstly the sort information about the companions and the successors whom names come forward in the framework of this event will be given. Then, the question of participation rates of them in the event will be answered. After that, the issue of what happened the ones who participated in the event will be examined. Besides, the attitudes of the other companions and the residents of the city of Madina during this process will be included in the final evaluation.
