Bibliometric Overview of Risk Management in Civil Aviation

Öz

From the perspective of aviation enterprises, risk management can be defined as the management of all risks arising from flight operation, ground operation, technical elements and processes and sectoral dynamics in accordance with procedures, principles and rules in order to establish high safety. The aviation sector has a special structure where many activities affect each other, where intensive technology is used, which has a high rate of change in processes and conditions, where security concerns are at the highest level, and where the risk phenomenon is at the center. In this respect, the perspective of the risk phenomenon in the aviation sector and the studies carried out in this field are very important in terms of sectoral development. The aim of this study is to examine the SSCI and SCI-Exp index articles published on risk management in the aviation industry. Another aim is to evaluate the number and effectiveness of publications made in Turkey, to identify gaps in the literature and to suggest new studies. The data of the study were taken from the Web of Science (WoS) database on 01 December 2022, and 300 articles were reached within the scope of the research.

Sivil havacılıkta risk yönetimine bibliyometrik bakış

Öz

Havacılık işletmeleri perspektifinden risk yönetimi, uçuş operasyonu, yer operasyonu, teknik unsur ve süreçler ile sektörel dinamiklerden kaynaklı tüm risklerin, yüksek emniyet tesis edebilmek adına, usul, esas ve kurallara uygun biçimde yönetilmesi şeklinde tanımlanabilir. Havacılık sektörü birçok faaliyetin birbirini etkilediği, yoğun teknolojinin kullanıldığı, süreç ve koşullarda değişim hızının yüksek olduğu, güvenlik kaygılarının en üst düzeyde duyumsandığı, risk olgusunun sektörün odağına konumlandığı, özel bir yapıya sahiptir. Bu bakımdan havacılık sektöründe risk olgusuna bakış ve bu alanda yapılan çalışmalar sektörel gelişim bakımından oldukça önemlidir. Yapılan bu çalışmada amaç, havacılık sektörü bağlamında risk yönetimi konusunda SSCI ve SCI-Exp. düzeyinde literatürde yer alan yayınları belirleyerek, Türkiye adresli yayınların sayısı ve etkinliği üzerinde değerlendirme yapmak, yine literatürdeki boşlukları tespit ederek, yeni çalışma önerilerinde bulunmaktır. Çalışmanın verileri Web of Science (WoS) veri tabanından 01 Aralık 2022 tarihinde alınmış, araştırma kapsamında 300 makaleye ulaşılmıştır.
